Relaxing, romantic, & rejuvenating. If you are looking for this a stay at the Stone Hill Inn is for you! Stone Hill Inn is a luxury bed and breakfast in Stowe, VT. It has been rated a top romantic destination for couples. I had the opportunity to stay here this past February and I want to share my experience, travel tips, and getting the most out of a Stowe getaway.

For our trip we did a one night romantic getaway package with the Stone Hill Inn. This included a one night stay, champagne and chocolates, and breakfast the next day. It also included full access to all the on site amenities (which ended up being are favorite part!). When booking you get to pick your room and you have the option to add on additional packages. We booked a couple weeks ahead for a Sunday-Monday night. When that Sunday arrived we left early and we were off to Stowe!

Since we arrived early and had time to explore we visited the Van Trapp Family Lodge first. We went to the Austrian bakery and had breakfast. It was cute and delicious. I recommend a visit if you are looking for a unique and quick stop on your way into Stowe. After that we visited Stowe Mountain Lodge. We had a cocktail at the bar in the lodge and checked out the mountain views. Then we went back downtown for my favorite part of the day. A sleigh ride!!

For those of you who don't know me I love Christmas! The sleigh ride was so amazing and something neither my boyfriend and I had done before. We went dashing through the snow lol! After our sleigh ride we ate our picnic lunch we had packed (sandwiches and chips). It was so simple but the perfect afternoon lunch break. We then explored downtown Stowe. Which if you have never been it's not super big but so fun to walk around. We visited lots of little shops. I particularly liked The Boutique which had great fashion pieces and prices.

At 3pm it was finally time to check in at Stone Hill. When we arrived we were greeted by one of the owners. The best part about this place is you feel right at home! The lobby has a grand fireplace with relaxing music playing. Coffee and tea is available as you wish. We got a tour of the grounds and then went to our room. Upon entering the room we had champagne and chocolates! This was such a nice treat and definitely a splurge for us :)

Each room at the Stone Hill Inn is a different theme. We chose the sterling room which had a cozy/mountain vibe. The room had a sleigh bed, two fireplaces, and a luxurious bathroom. The inn also has a game room with all types of activities/games like chess, a pool table, and a DVD collection. Since it was a Sunday night we were the only guests staying and we had the game room to ourselves. We ended up battling each other in pool a couple times and it was so fun! You also could toboggan as you pleased. We did this in the afternoon and had a blast in the snow. Sometimes it's really the simple things that are most fun to do (and doing them with the person you love makes it even better!).

After settling in we headed out for our 7pm dinner reservation at the Whip Bar & Grill (located in the green mountain inn). Side note-I love to plan everything! And I am an avid researcher and review reader. The reviews did not disappoint with this restaurant. It was amazing and I highly recommend for lunch or dinner if you are in the area. My boyfriend and I both had the steak gorgonzola dish and it was an A+!

The next morning we woke up and went to the dining room where we had apple pancakes and bacon (with VT syrup of course). Breakfast was cozy and delicious. All aspects of the Stone Hill Inn are truly remarkable. It is a great getaway that I recommend to anyone looking to relax and have fun in the mountains.

One last tip! On our way home we did stop at the Ben and Jerry's Factory for the ice cream tour. This was inexpensive, quick, and so fun. And of course you get ice cream at the end :) I look forward to our next trip to VT and sharing more amazing places with you! Enjoy the pictures of our trip below!!

**Although this bed and breakfast did not have a spa on site the rooms themselves are so luxurious you feel like you are at the spa. Future posts will include specific spa's, bed and breakfasts, and quaint travel destinations. I will also include beauty and skin-care products that focus on clean and natural ingredients that are good for you and your skin (in between spa treatments a good skin care routine is important)! Stay tuned and feel free to reach out with any post requests. If you are interested in product or travel collaborations please email me at seeyouatthespainquiries@gmail.com.

Breakfast @ the Austrian Bakery at the Van Trapp Family Lodge

Amazing pretzels!! I got one to go (of course lol!)

Beautiful views on our sleigh ride. This was one of my faves part of the trip and something I had never done before!

A mid-afternoon break for a stroll around downtown Stowe and shopping :)

The beautiful lobby and Sterling room at the Stone Hill Inn. This is bathroom goals for sure!

Just some more pics from the Stone Hill Inn game room, tobogganing, and the breakfast room. The game room was such a added bonus that we were pleasantly surprised with. We spent more time playing pool and games than I would have thought. It made me feel like we were kids again without a care in the world.

Breakfast (which is included in your stay). Not pictured coffee cake, yogurt w/ granola, coffee, and OJ.

A few last pictures. A stay at the Stone Hill Inn is relaxing and romantic. It is so cozy and they offer so many nice amenities. I enjoyed our stay and can't wait to go back in the future.
